Jens came to software through an unusual door, a qualified nurse who spent three years on an acute medical/surgical ward at Bispebjerg Hospital before making the move into IT in the early 1990s. Since then he has worked across software configuration management, consulting, and DevOps engineering, and will cheerfully point out that he was doing what we now call DevOps at SPSS in the late 1990s, long before anyone had given it a name. He has held roles at Esprit, SPSS, ATP, Otometrics/Natus, and Praqma, and most recently was a Senior DevOps Engineer at Eficode before joining Kosli.
Jens first crossed paths with Kosli’s founders during his time at Praqma, so joining the company felt more like arriving at a destination than making a career move. He sees Kosli as the direct expression of what CI/CD and DevOps have always been about — knowing the exact quality of what is in production and what is being developed and relishes the chance to make that a reality in highly regulated industries.
When he is not in front of a terminal, Jens can be found playing bass in an amateur band, tinkering with whatever is broken around the house, or spending time with his wife Lena and their two sons — both of whom have followed him into the IT industry. He lives in Søborg, just north of Copenhagen.
