Software Developer Intern

Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m from a small town on the west coast of Norway, surrounded by mountains and
ocean. Growing up there gave me a deep appreciation for nature, which I still
carry with me. I love traveling and learning about different cultures, and I'm
always curious to explore new perspectives and ways of thinking.

What made you decide to come and work for Kosli?
During a lecture in my Software Testing course, Jon, the Director of Software at
Kosli, gave a guest talk on test-driven development. I really appreciated how he
connected theory to real-world practice, and when he mentioned that Kosli was
looking for interns, I knew I wanted to apply. I was drawn to Kosli’s approach to
building quality software and the open, learning-focused culture he described.

What were you doing before Kosli?
Before starting my studies in informatics, I worked across several fields, from
sales and healthcare to maintenance. I also completed a one-year course in
Intercultural Understanding in Bergen, which sparked my interest in
communication and cultural dynamics. After this I was unsure what I wanted to
study, but when I came across informatics at the University of Oslo, I was
intrigued. I decided to give it a try, and quickly realized it was the right fit for me.

What do you like to do in your sparetime?
In my spare time, I enjoy going to concerts and spending time with friends and
family. I also like staying active, either at the gym or outdoors. Growing up close
to nature, I’ve always loved hiking and being in the mountains. I also love
cooking, especially trying out new recipes or making meals to share. In general, I
enjoy being creative, whether it’s through food, problem-solving, or exploring new
ideas!
