Principal DevOps Solutions Engineer

Tell us a bit about Sofus Albertsen?
Husband, Father, Extrovert Nerdy talking head, that likes to solve tough socio-technical problems. Living in Copenhagen enjoying the city when time allows :)

What were you doing before Kosli?
I started my career as an assistant professor on an Applied Science Bachelor program. I have a great passion for knowledge sharing and learning.

In the past decade I have helped clients ship software faster to their customers by upskilling their teams in subjects like CI/CD, artifact management, containerization and container orchestration.

What made you decide to come and work for Kosli?
I like complex problems. When I started in CI/CD work, Jenkins was the shining new thing and containerization was not mainstream yet. There, the technical challenges was very real and DevOps as a whole still an “unsolved problem”

With the current tooling and mindset available, and through the state of DevOps reports, it is shown that DevOps is achievable for all sectors.

Yet, highly regulated sectors like the financial sector seems lagging behind. That, to me, is a great challenge to help them pick up the pace like the rest.

What do you like to do when you are not busy helping customers?
As a father to a small kid, most of my spare time is spend, swinging, biking and parenting :)

Otherwise than that, I have a wooden shed on a small island in Denmark totally off-grid that I love spending time at during summertime for a good electronical detox. Sitting on the stairs to the shed, looking at the stars is an activity that I will never be tired of.

When time permits for my-time, it’s mostly spend om tabletop role playing during weekends and fitness/exercising during weekdays.
