Getting Started with Kosli Course
A one-day, hands-on workshop to build a practical foundation in using Kosli for automated software delivery governance.
Why This Workshop
Software delivery governance concepts are often difficult to translate into real pipelines. Teams struggle to understand which concepts matter, how controls should be applied, and how governance fits into day to day delivery.
This workshop removes that uncertainty by combining clear conceptual grounding with hands-on exercises, ensuring teams leave with practical knowledge they can apply immediately.
Foundational Understanding – Build a clear understanding of Software Delivery Governance concepts, including controls, policy enforcement points, and compliance systems of record.
Hands-on Implementation – Learn how to track builds and releases using Flows and Trails and apply governance directly in pipelines.
Automated Enforcement – Implement build, release, and runtime controls that automatically detect and prevent non-compliant changes.
A Structured One Day Course, Built Around Your Needs.
This 1-day course is designed to give your team a solid foundation in using Kosli for automated
Software Delivery Governance. You will learn how to use the Kosli software for verifiable chainof-
custody from code to production, implementing fact-based, automated controls creation.
DAY 1 - Foundations and Implementation
- We begin with an introduction to Software Delivery Governance and the role Kosli plays across the delivery lifecycle. Participants work directly with demo repositories and pipelines to create Flows and Trails using the Kosli CLI and CI workflows.
- The workshop then moves through implementing build controls and attestations, applying release controls that enforce compliance in pipelines, and configuring runtime environments to verify compliance of running software.
- Outcome: hands-on experience implementing governance from code through to runtime using Kosli.
What You’ll Receive
- At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will have a practical understanding of how to use Kosli and how to apply governance patterns in their own environments.
- You’ll leave with working examples of Flows, Trails, build controls, release controls, and runtime policies, along with the knowledge needed to adapt these patterns to your organisation.
Prerequisites
- Participants should have basic Linux command line skills, access to GitHub, and familiarity with CI systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Basic programming knowledge is recommended but not required.
